VOTE NO.

It's an abstention, not an absence.

Leave the ballot blank. If you refuse to vote for any other candidate, leave that office blank. Your votes for other offices still count. Every blank line records an abstention. It's not the same as not showing up — you were there, and you said no to all of it.

A blank ballot is not a missing vote. It is a denied vote. They do not get to count it. They do not get to claim it. An abstention on the record means the winner cannot claim that seat's voters chose them — not all of them, not the ones who showed up and declined.

Turnout is counted. Abstentions are counted. A candidate who wins with a margin smaller than the blank-vote count in that race cannot claim the voters are with them. That claim — that the people chose them — is the currency of political power. Blank ballots in volume don't just shrink a margin. Even if they win, they know it was hollow.

When a party fails you, you don't owe it your vote.

Fifty years of fiscal responsibility — deficit exploded. Fifty years of law and order — one attempted coup, 1,000 convictions pardoned. Fifty years of strong defense — Russian oligarch money in Senate campaigns. Fifty years of the Constitution — a Supreme Court that ruled the president is above the law.

They used your values as a slogan. Then governed against them.

You are not forced to vote for any other party. You only have to show up and withhold it. Decline the line. Their record earned it.

They have been trying to stop you from voting for forty years. That is not an accident. It is the strategy.

A party that wins when fewer people vote does not want you at the polls — blank ballot or otherwise. The suppression is documented. The convictions are on record.

• 1980s – Present  ·  Voter ID laws

  Republican legislatures pushed strict voter ID requirements across the country. A 2015 study confirmed the result: Latino voter turnout was 10.3 percentage points lower in states with photo ID requirements. Multiracial voter turnout was 12.8 percentage points lower.   The Court's five Republican appointees struck down the Voting Rights Act's preclearance formula in Shelby County v. Holder, 5–4. • 2018  ·  North Carolina

  Republican operative McCrae Dowless ran an illegal absentee ballot scheme in the 9th Congressional District. The state elections board threw out the results and ordered a new election. Dowless pleaded guilty to fraud. (Source: NPR; Brookings Institution)

• 2020  ·  Suppression robocalls

  Operatives Jacob Wohl and Jack Burkman broadcast approximately 85,000 robocalls across five states falsely warning Black voters that voting by mail would trigger law enforcement warrants, debt collectors, and CDC mandatory vaccination tracking. Courts found the calls violated the Voting Rights Act, the Ku Klux Klan Act, the Civil Rights Act, and state civil rights laws. They suppress the vote because the vote works. Your blank ballot is the one weapon they cannot gerrymander, purge, or close a polling place around. Show up. They hate that most.
